hmm...I feel like there was something I was supposed to read today...
Keep moving forward, I know you will get there.
This might not help if you are close to taking the SS test. A friend of mine went to this seminar/workshop,(https://www.nalsa.com/aboutus/aboutthaddeus.html) last year and he said it was worth the time and money. He said the three day work shop was like studying for two weeks.
I am currently sitting at my desk at my office studying for the PPP, BTW reading your study notes. Your notes are filling in all the gaps. Then I go back to my Kaplan and PPi Ballast book to read all the fluff. Sometimes I dive right into the mock test. I take as many as I can and see what I got right and what I got wrong. Then I first study all the things I got wrong and then review the questions I got right.
It’s gorgeous outside and the only thing I can think about is my yard work and how much its falling behind because of these test. I hate studying on the weekends, my wife misses me and not to mention my two dogs.
I am taking the PPP test for the second time. I have a lot to cover because I forgot some of the little stuff. They should change the time frame from 6 months to three months.
With regards to the vignette’s, I start with the vignette. Get familiar with it, do the drawings, post, ask questions make sure you understand the problem and workout the hard stuff. Then I start studying and reading. When I think I am ready and prepared, two to three weeks later, I go back and do the vignette timing myself to see how much I remember. It’s like a refresher course. Then you don’t feel like you have to cram the vignette at the last minute. It works for me.
Keep on trucking don’t stop, don’t stop the momentum. I did and it’s hard to get back on track and a study schedule.
You will do great. And I know you will get good news in the mail SOON!
Thanks for taking the time out from studying to respond, Ilija! I’m happy to hear the notes are helpful, with all your review and your great study strategy I’m sure you’ll pass this time!
I really like your approach to the vignettes, and I think I will give that method a try for this exam. I looked into the seminar you mentioned, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be coming to my part of the country this year! I will have to see if I can find any related study material.
I hope you are able to find time to enjoy your yard and spend some time with your wife and dogs. I know what it’s like to be missed, to me it’s the worst part of the whole ARE process. I will keep working hard and cranking exams out. At this point I just want to get them all over with!
Best of luck with your studying this weekend. Thanks for reading!
