Corbu in Color

Le Corbusier by Willy Rizzo. Photos © Willy Rizzo.

If there was any question on whether le Corbusier makes color portraits look badass, the answer is yes. Yes he does. Also, I wish all of the building sections on passive technologies that I had to study were that awesome.

Check out more of the never before published images over at Le Journal de Photographie and archdaily.

THOSE ARE sweet! Nice find Jenny. Have you ever seen any of his work in person? I was fortunate enough to live in France for a bit, and travelled to see some of his work! It takes on another life, esp with the colors he used…..the still shine ever so, these many years after.

I’ve seen the Carpenter Center on Harvard’s campus the few times I’ve visited. It was really beautiful. Would love to see more of his work, especially the projects at Chandigarh. There’s a special place in my heart for Ronchamp…it was the first “famous” building I learned about in Arch 101…has stuck with me ever since.
